Anyone who already knows the ONLY ONES will be thrilled. We now have an absolutely cuddly version made from 100% finest merino, which has a silky drape and is no problem even for sensitive skin.

As the name suggests, these strands are truly one-of-a-kind. You can find out below why these strands are unique and why they cannot be reproduced. In any case, we have decided to honor the uniqueness by giving each give each strand an individual background. There is a lot to discover.

Why these colors are unique.

When Franziska Uhl noticed that no matter how much care she took, she always had some paint left over after dyeing, she decided not to just throw it away, but to make something very special out of it. Not least in the spirit of sustainability , she started to use the leftover colors to create wonderful creations. Each of these strands was individually "painted" with a variety of colors in a very complex process (sometimes taking up to several hours) in water. As in her painting, when she paints with oil paints, she uses the "leftover" colors to lay a foundation for her work of art and then creates the rest as her artistic sense guides her.

And this is how these unique results are created.

A little more (on) sustainability...

As already mentioned, one of the main motivations was not to waste the dyes. However, this motivation has led to much more in terms of sustainability: the (time-) consuming process allows the strands to be dyed with less and, above all, cold water. Later, they are briefly heated to fix the color, making them absolutely leak-proof.

This means that paint , water and energy can be saved during production. It's a double win, so to speak.

What can I do with these strands?

It's very simple: you can use them just like any other fingering or sock yarn. You can use them as a highlight for your projects or individually. You can of course also combine them with each other. There are no limits to your creativity here. The uniqueness comes from the coloring and the process that creates it. And last but not least, of course, from Franziska Uhl's artistic skills.
