100Farbspiele began in 2003 with the courage of a mother who had no other choice. On the Baltic Sea coast, three small children, torn pants, broken rubber boots, and a constant desire for the next ice cream – money was tight, a compatible job for a single parent? Impossible. Then she found the wool, or the wool found her. Made in the living room, the first friend thought it was great, then the second, third. The thought of making money came naturally. In the basement, she set up a workspace and wound wool while the children were in kindergarten.

For years, she sold at craft markets, always with the children – they sat under the wool tables, entertained customers, set up tents, stacked boxes. In 2007, the online shop followed, and in 2009, the first small store. 'I' became 'we' – a patchwork family with a husband, six children, and the first employees. Like a painter paints a picture, she 'paints' wool – inspired by color gradients, flowers, and cloud plays in the sky. The children have grown up with the wool and have become independent, and 100Farbspiele will soon celebrate its 20th birthday. A story of dreams that became bigger than the need that birthed them.
